Giving hope and a chance to win a huge RAK

Postby paola on Wed Feb 20, 2008 5:08 pm

Hello wonderful ladies..I just read Wilna Furstenburgs blog here:
http://www.wilnaf.com/ ( feb. 19th post) and she is asking for help and giving a huge RAK to anyone who helps..She has a sick friend with cancer who has 4 kids and is not given long to live..she is asking wonderful scrappers to please make a card for her friend, post it on her blog and send it to her to lift her spirits during this difficult time..If you do this then you will be entered for the chance to win her huge RAK..
Iam doing this and hope you will find it in your hearts to share a little love.

RAK or not, count me in. Any time I can do something (in this case, a rather small thing) to brighten someone's day, I do what I can! I'm not the best card-maker out there, but I'll give it my best shot. When it's a situation like this, I can't say no.

count me inn, when ever I can help someone even if its as small as making a card I am inn. It is sad to hear that a mother is going through waht she is going through because as mother we don't just think about us we think about our kids lives which makes everything that much more complicated..............

Thanks for sharing! I'm DEF going to be trying (I know I'll get it done!).....BUT I most def can pass along the word. This will mean sooo much to her! I did a 100 Good wishes type quilt for a baby boy fighting cancer (who miraculously is still here today - THANK GOD!... ) and it was an amazing project...*If only* I had more time! Maybe someone could alter a lunchbox for her to keep all her cards in! Again, thanks for posting this!

I just want to take a moment and thank all you wonderful ladies for taking the time out of your busy lives to help another fellow human being..
My life is far from perfect but Iam so grateful to be healthy and well..hearing lois's story puts everything into perspective. I cannot even begin to imagine what Lois is going through and I pray that I never have to. I too am a wife and mother and my heart aches at the fact that she may be leaving a husband and four children behind. If you haven't decided yet, pls take 15minutes or so and create a beautiful card for this beautiful woman..reach out and you'll be the better for it..
with thanks and appreciation, :D
