And just what did the Hall of Famer who we are all supposed to revere and look up to say...

people are so distraught over some technicality, then they are a little imbalanced and need to go spend time with their kids or something and get off the freaking computer.

Notice she says,
"sorry" if "...you feel like your work has been passed over."
---NOT Sorry for what I did.
---NOT Sorry that I signed a document before reading it.
---NOT Sorry that I was ok with CK breaking the rules for me.
No, she belittles everyone's concern saying they just are mad because they didn't win.

Yep she pretty much left me speechless.

And judging by the looks of how many people have looked at this thread to how many have responded...she left a lot more speechless.

I never post on this board - I only ever lurk, but I am really disappointed in this whole thing. As a HUGE CK and KC supporter, I am truly saddened by her response. IMHO a simple "I did something wrong and I am truly sorry" would have gone ALOT further than saying "It's terrible when you feel like your work doesn't get chosen." I have never entered HOF and after this I most likely never will. She doesn't get it - this isn't about her winning and others losing. She broke the rules - plain and simple!

WOW....that read was exercising the power of fluent, forceful, and appropriate speech. Loved the repeat DUH!!

This is when CK should have said "Hey, that's against the rules" and handled it, kicked me out, burned me at the stake, whatever.

ahhh.... I just love the fingerpointing, don't you. This would have been the time to point out to CK that the rules weren't followed. You can't tell me she was in such a rush, she didn't know.

And all of a sudden, Nissa complained about her photos not having credit.....how convenient. Sounds like CYA for publication purposes!!

Speechless is a good way to describe it. I'm not even sure how to respond to this. Unbelievable is all that comes to mind at the present, at least the only acceptable thing to type here  anything else would have me burned at the stake.

I thought her response was funny and right on. She didn't try to do anything wrong. Mistakes happen everywhere in life.

WOW CK, you've chosen a real class act there (NOT).
You reap what you sow.
After reading her statement, it's evident you deserve each other.

She would have been better off to have kept her mouth shut.

I typically lurk as well. I don't follow the industry "socialites" much because I scrap because I LOVE it. It just gets irritating to see that the published and already famous in this industry are submitting to contests that should be used for normal everyday scrappers that do this as their passion and their joy...not their financial security.

Her response was flippant and rude at best and she did exactly what I would expect from my 12 year old. She blamed everyone and everything except herself. She is a reasonably well educated woman with the ability to read and write...obviously from her long winded blog. Would one sign a contract to purchase a car or a home without reading the contract in its completeness? Of course not. So why would one sign an afidavit that states they have not and will not use SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK. She did so because she believed she was beyond reproach and that because she is who she is, she was too important to be scrutinized.

She is setting a brilliant example for the rest of the scrapping world but worse, in my opinion, what example does she set for her children? It's okay to lie and cheat as long as we get permission first? Her responsibility as a mother is to set an example to her children. Integrity is doing the right thing when NOBODY is looking and Honor is taking responsibility for YOUR OWN actions.

Just my opinion. And if you want to burn me at the stake, email me and I will give you my address!

I give her credit for making a statement on her blog even if she's not saying what many people hope to hear (ie. "I resign from HOF because I didn't follow the rules"). She could have just tried to ride the whole thing out.
