I was alerted to this on Tim's blog, I don't know that it effects me as a Canadian but it does effect you gal's in the US for sure.
Take a moment to read Claudine Hellmuth's blog and vote! You're Children's Photos are yours to protect if they are used online they may be up for grabs! so unless you vote they may be used in the future by advertisers!

I hope I didn't hit a nerve posting it...I would have thought that this would be a big issue for scrappers. I wouldn't want my child's picture plastered all over city buses or something advertising whatever they want without my consent!

You're welcome! I thought it was kinda scary! I mean say you post a picture of your son with a black eye he got at a baseball game they could do an ad for child abuse Or say you post a pic of when your child is not feeling well or falling asleep and they post an ad for being an addict....It's spooky how they could take advantage of shots that seem innocent when you know the real story.

Thanks for the heads up, I can't believe that senators/politicians would say that personal images could be used for any purpose as they are all over blogs and sites and news. They could find themselves (or their images) shilling for feminine hygiene products apparently.

I'll be writing my senator and congressman about this asap.

Yeah I'm sure if there kid winds up on a poster they would have a different view point on the matter.
