I am planning on looking at it on HSN. I do not have the original but I am not sure if I will use it that much plus I am saving my money for a cuttlebug. But I can always change my mind. Valentine's day is coming up and DH likes ideas.

Ditto for me, Noel.

Ditto here too  It would be nice, but since I already have the original,
I am in no hurry to go out and buy the new one, kwim?
I'm with this group ... I love my original crop-o-dile, but I havent had MAJOR issues with it not reaching and the few times when it didnt, I just dug out my original setter. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the IDEA of this one, but its not like its a MIKEs STAMP and I NEED it NOW!

Think I am passing on it for now. I really don't think I would use it that much as I haven't really run into problems with my regular crop-o-dile. I use it pretty often, but don't really ever try to set things that far into my page (if I do then I just grab my old eyelet setter)...

Know what I wish? I wish these companies would get it RIGHT the first time. Oh wait, silly me then they wouldn't make so much money off us huh? Yea I'm like Noel, I will probably wait awhile and then someday when I need a punch way over there in the center of the page that's when I'll know "have to have it"! :D

I just got my original for Christmas from Dh. At first I was really mad when I saw the e-mail, but as I look at it....I think I like mine better! I don't like that the new one is not hand held.

I showed dh and he thought it was awefully bulky and it he also said that it looks like a staple gun.

If the price isn't too bad and I can use a coupon or get it on major sale later on druing the year I may get one, but I'm not in any hurry. I like my hand held COD and if I really need hoes in the middle of my page I will get out my silent setter.

i agree with Jingle...looks like a staple gun...and also not liking the fact it isn't hand held...and just don't see the need...my good old hammer and old setter get holes and eyelets in places the cod won't reach now...I don't even see this on my maybe someday list

Sorry, I didn't vote because you didn't include "Nope, already have the original COD." The few times I wished I could have used the COD inside the paper more, I go to the "old" way of doing it.   But, if I didn't own the original one, I would probably look into it and to see how heavy and hard/easy it would be to use it. I agree, bulky looking. But the bigger question for me is: how much pressure has to be used?

I think these companies think we all have huge scrap rooms with long counters to put all these large items on. lol Not to mention a large checking account to kep buying the "new improved' version. :O(

I think I'll get it but probably not from HSN.

I don't use the original one much for layouts but it is fabulous for altered items and a longer reach would often be wonderful!
