Kristina Contes finally speaking...

so, we have finally seen what a class act Ms. Contes is. I'm glad that I sent back all her books.

I found this to be an interesting conflict, a direct quote from KC's non-apology on her blog:

"When we start getting this irrational over paper and glue and things we don't even know for sure, it is time we get our priorities in check. Scrapbooking is my life..."

I give her credit for making a statement on her blog even if she's not saying what many people hope to hear (ie. "I resign from HOF because I didn't follow the rules"). She could have just tried to ride the whole thing out.

You know, if she had said she was sorry for this mess. That she admitted she did wrong and did not come off as, crass, unintelligent, insulting and big headed I might have forgiven her but I can tell you that she blew it.

I have not an ounce of respect for this chick now. She is immature and she showed it in that response. My time with CK is over as they haven't owned up to anything and even if they did at this point if they kept her on as a contributor I would never consider going back.

Ok so, here are my thoughts on Kristina. I really feel bad for her. I know it's different to what some of you might think but, I look at it like this. Yes, she didn't use some of her own photos but, it wasn't her fault she got picked. CK made the booboo, and EVEN THEN... they shouldn't have to look AT EVERY little detail on EVERY ENTRY!!! I just read her blog and the poor thing has many people mad at her. I say we all forgive and forget. We all do things from time to time that make us blush...ya know what I mean. I'll I know is last year, I didn't get in because my work wasn't as good as Kristina's. she really did have an amazing entry.

I hope you all don't hate me for feeling bad for her or even stnding up for her but, this is WRONG to be still TALKING ABOUT IT. I say it's time to MOVE ON and with all the new info... we all will stick to our own photos. I just know that as for myself there are so many more important things to get upset about it. again hope you all still love me.

No problem, we see that there are differing opinions about this. But it doesn't matter what any of us think or if we want to be loved, at this point it is up to the lawyers and courts, to see if there were laws broken.

you know i'd have to agree that i don't think she needed to enter the hof 'cuz she's already published and does things that have made her name in the scrapbooking industry. this just makes me sad 'cuz it's obviously who you know that gets you into this contest. i truly believe it was all overlooked 'cuz of who she is. that really irks me. i'm so disappointed in ck and in her. why can't people just step up and take responsiblity for things they've done wrong? not finger point...i do have to agree a bit with her that when she did give credit to nisa, ck should've done something, but as i stated before, i don't think this happened because of who she is. so, so sad

Not only did she not use her own photo, but (correct me if I am wrong) its in the "Photography" section of the book(didn't get mine yet - ain't gonna do it now!) So, the portion of the book under which she is listed isn't even the portion of the lo that was her own!
