Gaybow & Oreosmom's 6 hr. "blind date"...LOL!!

Today, Gay and I met for the first time....(as far as we know, we are the only CKMBers from Richmond). We had a GREAT day!!

First, we went to a LSS (I had never been there and it's a gorgeous store!). We sat in their back room and played show and tell with our SB's and SS albums...I told her she HAS to start her own IG...I love her books!

Then, we spent SOME time shopping at the store...

After going to lunch, came the most fun part of the day...The Dollar Tree!! The ones I go to don't have anything pretty to use for the SS albums, weeeeell this store was different...Gay had already been lucky with a $ Tree before, but still found things here...I, on the other hand, was told by the cashier BROKE THE RECORD on purchasing SB items at that store...

Before we left, we went back to the first store and asked the clerk to take pictures of us to scrap and share with you!!!

It was fun!! When we were showing each other our albums, Gay mentioned the word SLAB...she was sooooo happy that I knew what she was talking about....

I'll second that we had a GREAT Day. It was totallly a Girls' SB / Spend Lots of Money / Talk, talk, talk Day!!! We had so much fun sharing our SB's and she has made some adorable Sunshine books. I asked her if the paper was from a "slab" and she so got what I was talking about. Only a fellow scrapper understands scrap "shop talk"!

Ladies - just because everything is a DOLLAR, those dollars add up big time! We chatted with the $ Tree checker and told her what we were buying all the paper for - scrapbooks for kids with cancer. She said she had never seen anyone buy so much SB supplies. I managed to do only a little over $20 damage... Gladys spent $80!!! However, she did get wonderful paper and stickers and the books we plan to finish will make some kids very happy!

We had so much fun and we were excited to meet a CHMB scrapper IN PERSON! If there is anyone in your area that you can get together with, try to do it - you'll have a blast!

A GOOD Dollar Tree $80 purchase gets you...a gazillion sets of really pretty and fun paper packs, stickers, the neatest small magnetic albums, some die-cuts, etc...to make MANY SS albums...

PLUS, if you are nut about Cinderella stuff like I am, folders, little notebooks, etc...with her on them!!

Gay taugh me how to do an accordion 6"x6" books...those are my next ones...after I alter the magnetic ones I bought today.


BTW...what she didn't tell you was that she was a MAJOR enabler when it came to Cinderella stuff and anything else for that matter...!!!
