I could really use some help

Postby lshdesigns on Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:50 am

I create svg files for my blog, and I have been asked if I can create files in wpc, eps, dxf, gsd, ai, etc. I have no idea how to go about doing this. If anyone would be willing to share any info as to how to do this I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have any specific information. Sounds like you need a specialized graphics program that understands different file types. Hopefully someone else will have the expertise for a more detailed answer!

Sorry - I even asked DH who like computer stuff and he didnt know. I did google these and it seems that you need a different programs for each one (ie Word Pad for the wpc and Adobe Illustrator Artwork for ai) I could be wrong though. Good luck

What program are you using to create the svg files? That, as well as other programs you have available, will determine whether or not you will be able to create the other file types.

wpc - probably Pazzles Inspiration Studio (I doubt that this is a Word Pad file someone's looking for)
eps - Adobe Illustrator
dxf - Drawing Exchange Format
gsd - Professional Draw vector image
ai - Adobe Illustrator

Some graphics files are program-specific and can only be created with the associated program, others can be created in something like Illustrator & saved as another file type. Again, it's all determined by what you're using to create the graphics and what that program will allow.
