This is my 1st scrap booking convention and I was wondering how much time to allow in the Vendor area? I have signed up for Thursday's crop, 4 classes on Friday and I am even fitting in volunteering at the event. So after I do all of that I will have over 3 hours in the vendor area( although that is the area I am volunteering in. DO you have any tips for me? Thanks. Is this enough time? I mostly make cards so that is my main focus.

depends on how much money you have to spend. Remember to be selective and know your prices since a lot of this stuff you can get at your local craft or scrapbook store or on-line. Many of the vendors have an on-line presence.
Check the book that you will be given with your registration tickets to see where all of the vendors are located . Have an idea in mind of what it is that you NEED and what is it that you WANT and know the difference. Make a plan and stick to it.
Don't forget that you will also get product in the classes and at the crop. Plus some of the vendors have booths at the crops also and sometimes they run some "specials".

She is totally right about it depends on how much money you have and what your are looking to get. There are some great deals at some of the vendors as a scrapper whose been to every seattle ckc, I can tell you that if your looking for cardstock, don't miss the Embellish It booth. They have lots of variety and the prices are good. It can be overwhelming if you've never been to a convention like this, so just be prepared and Have Fun.. Welcome to CKC Seattle

I just attended Kansas City last week and I was disappointed that our booklet did not have a layout showing where the vendors were located as they had in previous years. I set a budget and stayed well under it. I think I had about 3 hours to spend in the vendor fair and it was sufficient for me. However, if I wasn't interested in what the booth had I skipped it -- in my case I wasn't interested in page kits so I by-passed those vendors. Also, some of your classes will give you a coupon for a discount at their booth so keep that in mind; SEI is really good about that. For the most part my purchases were show specials or items that I can't get locally. Have fun!! I can't wait until next year.

Hey there!
Good advise by all..I've been going awhile..if you have limited time try to hit the vendor faire early Friday and late Saturday. Early Friday..hit the ones that you think will be busy...I hit the doller scrap booth (check on-line first to see what they will have available, as it can be overwhelming) & the Embellish It booth. Saturday afternoon as a lot of the vendors will be blowing out stock as it is the last convention of the season and they usually don't want to take stuff home with them. Also, know the difference between what you need & what you want...hard to do. I try to buy only things that are either on sale or I can not get at my local SB store.

I've never been to Seattle CKC, but in Glendale the Vendor Fair was awesome. I was lucky enough to teach and got to cruise the fair between class, maybe for a total of three hours. I think that was enough (enough for my pocket book anyways!). I did wish I had time to bring stuff to my car - one booth had a great deal on cardstock and that stuff is heavvvvvy. Hee.
