I am very amazed. How did she get to use the family room? Her family must be very understanding. I love this space. I especially like her table. That is a great work space.

Thanks Linda :) Our home has a large living room as well as a dining room & extra large family room (which is my scraproom & also our dining room). Our 'family room' is in the living room, the room that's supposed to be a dining room is attached to the living room, so we use that as part of the family room as well & then our dining room is in the family room (off from my scraproom)......whew! Hope that makes sense :) My dh is the one that actually suggested that I use the family room as my scraproom.....he likes the fact that I'm downstairs closer to him now as before, my scraproom was in an upstairs bedroom.

First off, let me start by saying Thank-You for all the compliments on my room. I was lead to this thread by someone that posted about my room on their blog.

And thank-you KellieAnnie & Jenn for writing the above :) Yes, some of the comments I've read regarding my room have been hurtful (not so much on here, but on another site). It doesn't really bother me that people say that my room looks like an LSS or that I have too much stuff.....I already know I have too much  Yes, I do love my room & I do love collecting stuff (Primas especially, as if you couldn't tell  ). Like Jenn said.....some people collect stamps, some collect rocks.....I collect Primas & paper & ribbons & ......well, you get the point :)

I did share my room in hopes that it would give other people ideas on how to organize their spaces, even if they just get one idea to use from it (seems like my curtain rods for hanging layouts have been the most popular one). I do use my stuff, including my Primas, but I doubt I will ever make enough of a dent in the bottles to show that.....it's like they multiple inside the bottles! LOL

Anyway, I just wanted to say Thank-you.....I appreciate all the compliments & comments on my room.

I'm so glad you came by the visit the thread! You're organization is awesome! I seem to be a collector of organization tools and none of them really work as well as I'd hoped they would...lol.

I agree, primas do multiply...lol. I have mine in little nuts/bolts boxes so they can be sorted by color and it seems the more sorting i do the more colors I have...i cannot believe how many shades of pink prima has made!

Dear IamaScrapbookNut,

First of all I want to apologize. I didn't realize my comments sounded so B%*(@y. They sounded so right in my head (story of my life). My point was that I have been on this no spend kick because I don't feel like I use my supplies before going out and buying more stuff. I have been feeling so guilty for having so much. I realized by seeing your room, that I really shouldn't be beating myself up and getting into this whole deprivation no spend thing when I can afford to spend the amount I spend. Your room gave me permission to loosen the leash I have on myself. (unfortunately I removed my muzzle prematurely  )

I studied your room and got a lot of organizational pointers. I benefited by learning some organizational skills but most of all, I was reminded how careless comments can hurt someone's feelings. Again, I apologize for being a jerk.

Kathryn,

No apology is necessary. I also have times where I feel guilty for having so much stuff, especially Primas. But I love them & love the way they look on my shelves :)

But honestly, you shouldn't feel guilty for buying things that you love if they make you happy! Like my husband has said, if it makes me happy, that's all that matters :)

Benita, my husband says the same thing, I always joke about how much diaper money is invested in my craft stuff and he ALWAYS says "honey, do what you want, just make sure you're happy doing it! I dont mind at all if you have a hobby!" Is sooo nice to have encouraging spouses that understand!

And share all the supplies, too! That would be fun.

SCRAPBOOK ROOM

Postby dotti on Wed Jan 23, 2008 12:35 am

that's an obsession (ADDICTION) and who has that kind of money.....Let's hope it's not on a credit card.

It actually is MORE than our local SB store. Sad, just sad.

Don't count me a jealous, seriously. I want stuff but that is too overwhelming for me.

i just wanted to say that when i posted this it was w/ good intentions... i love how this space is designed, decorated and utilized...she has been scrapbooking for a long time, and yes, she does have alot of stuff and i am in awe...i am a little disappointed in some of the negative comments that are being said...i sent her a pm to apologize, because my intent was not for negative comments, but to show what a scraproom/space can look like...
