There's an Article in the LA Times...

Good grief, I'm almost 50 and I wouldn't have been caught dead in Converse when i was 20. It was heels for me. ;) But I've drank Absolut for 30 years. Big deal!

My humble opinion on this is that the LA Times must have had a slow news day, or she is friends with someone. The article jumped around a lot but to me she still comes off as a brat.

I think the main reason everyone went nuts was because of her attitude which apparently has not improved. She bashes people over being mean and vindictive, then out the other side of her mouth she calls all of us "stepford wives" which is mean and vindictive. Personally this is a done deal for me. It's simple. She cheated, she got caught, she was nasty about it and is still being nasty. Let's not give her any more ammo though. Let her bury herself as my Grandmother used to say.

Okay...Im curious about one thing -

Why are there links to where KC displayed her work and the smack site, but no link to CK in any way shape or form in the article?

Thats where the rules are listed, the controversy was discussed, the apology was posted ... it just seems to me that readers could have gained more information - more ACCURATE information - from a CK link than a smack link.

Anyone in the journalism field able to shed some light on this for me?

I am curious, if you acknowledge you made a mistake and put in photo by someone else (clearly against the rules) then why not u]graciously bow out and not put the blame on some new assistant? Alison :?: :?:

Another 20 something who doesn't view KC as a pinup. Her style of work is at the opposite end of the spectrum from mine. I never had an opinion of her prior to this but now I think she's an attention seeker, a liar, and a cheater. If she looked at the rules well enough to be able to complete the assignments then she wasn't dumb enough to overlook the photography rule. She used Nisa's photos regardless and is now just playing this silly woe is me game. She knew what she was doing all along and now she has to face the consequences. My word of advice to her at this point is to stop bringing it up to the press and just let it go. Enough people dislike her already so what's the point of making it even worse now that it's all been said and done for some time.

FUN is the main reason that I scrapbook too.

Although the thought of being a professional scrapper (I don't like the word "celebrity) would be nice--the basketfuls of free product, the ability to work from home, and the opportunity to travel around the country/world with one's hobby--bad things happen when you begin to stray from the reason for having this hobby in the first place.
I went to a T-Shirt factory, and all I got was this lousy keychain.

Why are they writing about her??? She cheated on a contest yet up until now, she's getting some kind of publicity!! OMG!!! Stop already!! She's a cheater and should just be forgotten! :x

And why is she being portrayed as if she was the victim in all this?? Whatever!
Happy Mommy of 2!

this is the only thing I´ll ever say about this, let this issue die the quiet death it deserves or the people involved will continue to believe they are really something special

I have not said anything about this topic, but this is starting to get really old! So KC, here's a question for you: are you trying to fulfill some sort of quota concerning how many times a) you put yourself and your bad attitude in the spotlight; b) the number of people who have stated that you have cheated and yet you continue to blame others, and c) the number of people who say that your work is nothing special? What are you limits and when is it going to stop? When people stop talking about you? Do you have a limit to yourself of how far and how LONG you are willing to drag this out? I do not follow your life, so I do not know if you have children, but I do hope if you do have them/plan to have them then there is someone in your life besides you who will be able to teach them right from wrong. I am just wondering what your quota is as to how many times you can put yourself in the undeserved spotlight and think that people don't know what you are really about. I would post on your blog but we're like totally SO NOT friends, so hopefully you will read this and think long and hard about it and maybe try to change your public attitude.
Sincerely,
Jamie
