~Scrapbook Area Organization Challenge~

Postby journeyfan on Wed Dec 19, 2007 12:06 am

Hi everyone ~ If you get a chance, check out my blog. I'm challenging everyone to organize their scrapbook area over the Christmas break. As embarrassing as it was, I posted my Before pictures (oh, yeah, very very embarrassing). Here is a sneak peek:

I know, OMG, right??

So, come on over and participate, give me some ideas, or just laugh and shake your head at how bad my space is :D

It's OK Erika, wev'e seen worse on this board, and I'm sure all of us can look up from the computer and see something similar in our own scrap areas. I like it that your hubby agreed to the guest room idea, does your room and the guest room share a wall by chance...maybe you can talk him into tearing it out and letting you expand and have one HUGE ultimate scrap room!

Thanks Stephanie! I feel a little better, except that Yvette really let me have it on the blog, LOL! No, the two rooms are on opposite ends of the house. The guest room is also where my "real" computer is and where I work from home, with a desk, all of our files and office supplies. I'm thinking of combining the two spaces (work and scrap), taking over the existing playroom. Then the extra bedroom could have the couch, tv w/DVD collection, and toys/games for the kids to use.

Only drawback is the current playroom/scrap room has no door on it and sometimes it's nice to shut the door and work when the house is crazy-loud. But I don't want to make the guest room into my scrap/office because someday the kids will want their own rooms and I'll get the boot. Still thinking about it & thanks for your help!

I am glad you put forth this challenge. My DH and I will be home for the weekend, Christmas Eve and Christmas so I was already thinking of cleaning up my scrap/office area. My scrap room is shared with my home office. (I am a sales rep and have a home office.) I used to have an organized office but now it is crowded because I have integrated my scrap stuff. I am challenged and will have organization!!!Kathy

Ok, with a name like coffeefiend, you're already my BFF

And so glad you decided to join me. Sounds like you and I have the similar problem of combining our scrap spaces with our work spaces. Because work is the priority, it seems with me at least that scrapping always loses out. Enjoy your Christmastime & good luck organizing too! Are you taking Before and After pics, Kathy? (<- Love that name too, spelled just like my MIL's, who I adore)...

I don't have a lot of stuff so it stays pretty organized! But it was fun to look at your pics and see how much stuff you have, even if it is "disorganized"

Organization is overrated, right?

Okay Okay Okay!!! I'm gonna do it! I will take some pics tonight and post them asap. My scrap area is in our bedroom and DH is going to help me rearrange it as my Christmas gift. I can't wait for it to be all set up and well heck .... useable! lol

Hi Christina ~ I remember way back when I hardly had anything, LOL. Those were the good ol' days in a way. Did you just start scrapping, or do you just have much better shopping restraint than me? {tee hee} Thanks for taking a look and I have always loved your siggie line quotes, btw! Have a wonderful Christmas 8)
