That just makes me laugh! I don't even know who she is. Girl get over yourself!

LOL, that's exactly what I felt when I read this. Polorizing? Can anyone say, "Prom Queen" here? She's thinking a little too much of herself these days. Until this whole issue I didn't have a clue who she was, and after this statement I have no desire to learn more about her or her work. She needs a PR person to speak for her.

You know I haven't really commented on this subject but I must saying after reading KC's blog I have asbsolutely no respect for her. I didn't know who she was either until this whole situation. But, she definitely is not someone I would want representing my company. JMHO!

this is still one big huge mess isn't it...just wanted to give my opinion on the subscription prices-regardless of whether or not they pull the hof stuff, your subscription prices are going to go up anyway because by the sounds of what's on this board and others, subscriptions are dropping like flies and scrapbook stores are pulling what they have. sorry-that's the truth...and the hof issue is already out-the sales will probably not be as good as expected, and i think they'll just appear in magazine articles, which you can't stop some of the publications now due to the time frames, but you could pull any future issues that featured a kc lo...honestly...that to me is the cheapest option-not let all these cancelled subscriptions happen...but, anyway-i think i've posted some good business advice throughout these fiasco posts-obviously they're not listening to me  oh, well, i like me job :)

i also think a good point was made that a lot of the ladies we love like elsie, ali, have blogs these days-we can still pop over there...now, i'll be in trouble if elsie publishes another book and it's ck that does it...i'll be extremely torn...now, i'll be the first to admit, i buy many scrapbooking magazines, so not reading this one, probably won't be too much of an issue-for me.

this is just messy, messy, messy!

WOW. I AM A LURKER TO. FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. NEVER REALLY HAVE TO MUCH TO SAY BUT THIS IS SO SAD. CK WAS THE FIRST MAG I WAS INTRODUCED TO WHEN I BEGAN SCRAPING. I AM ONE OF THE LUCK ONES. IT IS A NATURAL ART TO ME AND I LOVE IT. SO IS TAKING PICTURES. WHAT SCRAPPER, EVER, COULD FORGET WHO TOOK WHAT PICTURE. PICTURES ARE 50% OF SCRAPPING. PERSONALLY IF SHE WAS THAT BUSY THEN SHE NEEDS TO GET A LIFE. SERIOUSLY. IF YOU ARE SO BUSY SCRAPPIN THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WERE THE PICTURE CAME FROM, THE PRIORITIES ARE A LITTLE OFF. I AM JUST A COUNTRY GIRL. I BELIEVE IN SECOND CHANCES, BUT SECOND CHANCES ALSO HAVE TO BE EARNED AND FRANKLY, THIS KC PERSON(YEH SHE IS FAMOUS, DON'T KNOW HER,NEVER HEARD OF HER,AND NOW NEVER WANT TO AGAIN) HAS NO IDEA HOW TO SHOW HUMILITY,RESPECT,OR EVEN HOW TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.THATS WHAT A BIG HEAD WILL GET YOU EVERY TIME. I CAN ALSO SAY I WILL NOT RENEW. I AM DONE.

Hi Kristina ~ I admire you for being brave enough to post your true thoughts on the matter. At least we know the truth straight from you now, even if we're still disappointed and confused by your actions and CK's. You are a very talented scrapbooker who may have deserved to win. But anyone who didn't follow the stated rules should have been disqualified, not just you. Btw, I don't enter contests or have any vested interest in HOF, and I'm not one of "those" who've been posting nasty things. I will be surprised and impressed if you post my comment.

I have a lot more to say about the whole thing, but I'll leave it at that for now :D

Edited to add: Well, it's now 11 hours later and my Comment has not been added to her blog. Even though 50 additional (praising) posts have been added since then. Here is part of my favorite one:

"...have you noticed that the peeps that are really upset about this whole deal have yet to comment?? He he he he!" Uh, we ARE posting but Kristina is not approving our comments.

Another update: My comment DID get posted, and some other funny/critical ones. Bravo!

I went to Mike's today and looked through the HOF issue...I can now see why it took her only four hours to do her entries.

It's a shame because, IMHO, there were a lot of HMs in there whose work was more deserving to be a winner than KCs.

On the whole, I would say that I was "underwhelmed" by some of the pages in there. Looks like the tide is turning on the trends again and going more to clean and simple. Quite a few of the LOs represented what you would see in a Becky's Sketch column. Not that there is anything wrong with that, b/c I like that column and have submitted LOs for the column. But I guess I was just expecting "more" from HOFers...

There weren't a whole lot of LOs that blew me away...

HOF debaucle

Postby kmwriter on Sun Oct 28, 2007 8:48 am

Well, I'm hearing all this kind of late, but I have a question? Do the rules state that every picture on your scrapbook page entries must be taken by you? Because if they do, I find it impossible to believe that during the past nine years, all the great pictures of HOF winners on their pages were self portraits. I think Kristina is just unfortunate enough to be the first to get caught. If she was really trying to be deceitful, she wouldn't have given credit to the photographer. Everyone makes mistakes. I think the whole thing is a real shame, especially since Kristina's pages were some of the best in the issue. And I think it's a little out there to say that CK is somehow terrible now because someone at the magazine made a mistake. Nobody is perfect.

I personally wouldn't want to be the 26th winner. It would be very anticlimactic. Would that person get to participate in the festivities next year? I hope so.

The rules have changed and evolved over the years. If my memory serves me (always have to wonder as age continues to increase), that 2007 was the first year the photo rule was in effect.
