This is a bummer to hear. I am hoping they turn things around. I enjoy the magazine and this board. I would hate to see them disappear.

D Scraps wrote:Hi everyone, I just wanted to put my 2 cents in this discussion.

I recieved a check in the mail yesterday for $11.98 From CK Media.
I have no idea what this is for .
It said invoice date of December 10, 2008, and the check was issued on Feb. 13th. 2009

I really had no idea what this is for. I subscribe to both CK and Simple S.

I did not request a refund, I thought this was really odd.

By the way, no matter how poor I am feeling I still spend a few bucks for a few magazines, you have to have some joy in your life......

Just wanted to pass this interesting info.

Have a great night everyone................

Maybe they are choosing to reimburse everyone for undelivered SS mags since they stopped publication on that one. We were thinking they would extend our CK subscriptions to make up for it but if they don't know what the future holds this is the other option.

I was gonna order the Mar KOTM (AKA, Feb KOTM!), but now with a pending P365 and this news, I'm afraid to sink my $ into it.

This is awful! I'm going to hope for the best, especially since I just bought a 2-year subscription to the magazine. I, too, would hate to see the magazine and this MB disappear. How sad!! Maybe it will all work out...

While I don't think it bodes well, your argument would be more forceful if this wasn't a repeat of a prior problem, kwim? This isn't the first kit that has had problems... unless CK's been struggling for a lot longer and no one knew it.

Sounds like they have been struggling for some time since there are people who have not been paid for work in CK from January 2008 on...

I sure hope Erin has been getting paid!

Something tells me that if they have terrible service when it comes to the KOTM and that is acceptable (yes I know it is farmed out, but that doesn't excuse it), then I would wager that is they consider to be ok to run the rest of the company. Great companies fail everyday due to service. Up until very recently, CK was missing the mark big time in the CK mag. You can't get everything wrong in a company and expect to keep the doors open. I have always wondered why we don't expect the same level of service from the scrapbook industry as we do our local supermarket or department store.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Erin. As upsetting as this is to all of us, you're in a much worse situation with this being your employment and all. My fingers are crossed that this all works out soon!
