I hope CK finds a way to keep afloat! I don't know what I would do without CK! I love CK and it is the only scrapbook magazine I want. I rarely look at the others. I hope they don't get smaller (they are already only about 1/3 the size they used to be. And to go to quarterly issues would be sheer torture. I can't even make an issue last a month as is. I will continue to keep buying each issue as usual and hope and pray for the best!

this is a little bit of irony isn't it....one of the biggest complaint alot of people had about CK was too many ads....turns out...there's not enough
I hope they can turn this around because CK would surely be missed...but I do feel really bad for all those companies that CK owes money too...in this economy no company can afford to take pennies on the dollar like that.

Absolute, because we could scrap a wonderful book on the wolves, should we be so inclined. I can see how those two things now go hand in hand. And probably makes enough sense for the government.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to put my 2 cents in this discussion.

I recieved a check in the mail yesterday for $11.98 From CK Media.
I have no idea what this is for .
It said invoice date of December 10, 2008, and the check was issued on Feb. 13th. 2009

I really had no idea what this is for. I subscribe to both CK and Simple S.

I did not request a refund, I thought this was really odd.

By the way, no matter how poor I am feeling I still spend a few bucks for a few magazines, you have to have some joy in your life......

Just wanted to pass this interesting info.

Have a great night everyone................

NO WONDER THOSE OF US WAITING FOR OUR P365 KITS COULD NEVER GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER. CK (OR KOTM) PROBABLY OWES THE CHINESE MANUFACTURER FOR THE KITS AND THEY WON'T SHIP WITHOUT THE $$$. I'M THINKING THIS IS THE BAD NEWS THAT NO ONE HAD THE GUTS TO TELL US...NO MORE (EVEN BACKORDERED) P365 KITS! JMO OF COURSE...

Don't forget all the posts in the last year that have read "My LSS Closing!" and remember the Creative Memories parent company filed bankruptcy, too!

Chicken little knew what she was squawking about.

While I don't think it bodes well, your argument would be more forceful if this wasn't a repeat of a prior problem, kwim? This isn't the first kit that has had problems... unless CK's been struggling for a lot longer and no one knew it.

It's starting to put a lot of things into perspective....with SS going out of business, the issue with the P365 kotm (no real answers), the delay of the next kotm (March- not even a look-see on any blogs), and sorry, but Erin's non-appearances. I know she says she has been working behind the scenes and all, but to not even come on-line once a week/month to set up an HH? It just makes you stop and wonder.

I hope for everyone's sake that if CK does have to file BK they do a reorganization so that they don't just fade away into scrapbooking heaven. And, of course, I'd hate to see our MB and all our friends disappear. Most important, I'd hate to see Lisa B's dream shatter. All of this would be very sad.

oh, I'm so sad to hear this news. I've subscribed to CK since the beginning. I do hope they manage to stay around in some form!
