need advice about adhesives

Postby scraps2much on Mon May 11, 2009 10:12 pm

Over the years I have tried all different kinds of adhesives. most reacently i was using duck brand double sided tape but my local store stopped carrying it, so now i'm in the market for something new. i like how easy the refillable rollers are, when they're working correctly. often they jam up, not put out, or don't disconnect the glue when i lift up from the page. i am hoping to get some advice on the best working brand (right now using scotch brand) and maybe tips on using the roller. who knows maybe its just me. lol

I love the KCompany Adhesive Roller. It works 99% of the time as long as I don't try to use it upside down lol. Its really easy and my 22 month old son can even work it. Its pretty resonably priced and I found it at Hobby Lobby for like 4 dollars I believe. Hope that helps

I was given a freebie of Dot 'n' Roller adhesive by Kokuyo at a CKC event. Once I tried it, I was amazed and prefer it over Duck and Mono. No stringie-stretchy adhesive blobs and it has a clear cover piece to protect the adhesive when not in use. I never realized how much I'd like dots for adhesive until this, and, WARNING: once it's down, it's DOWN! Quality glue here!

It came from ScrapbookPal.com

Another big fan of Kokuyo. I recently bought one at a sale at my LSS and I love it. I was using Tombow, but I didn't like that it sometimes didn't work right. The Kokuyo dot roller works everytime and it works great!

I love my ATG 714 too! The best & cheapest I've used by far...for RIGHT handed people. If you're left handed you might want to check out the Glue Glider Pro. I've compared the two on my blog.
