The patterns and colors in Jen Martakis' new kit, This Year, (available at www.twopeasinabucket.com) are really fresh and fun. For this layout, I enjoyed mixing different colors of the same patterns, and adding a few small pops of color. I also used one of my favorite techniques on this layout. I merged text with my photo and then used the magic wand tool to select and delete those letters -- that essentially created a cut-out effect that looks really cool when you back it when brightly colored paper.
