The photo of my son in the parade did not turn at well at all, so I used one of the smaller openings on the template for it. Journaling: Caleb had the opportunity to march with the Boys Scouts in the Memorial Day parade. We dropped him off with his troop and then Nate, Josh and I selected a spot on the parade route. Nate and Josh were enthusiastic at first and then that enthusiasm wilted in the heat. It wasn’t officially summer yet but it definitely felt like it. The boys even sat under their chairs in an attempt to get some relief from the harsh sun. Thanks to the high school bands, we heard the parade before we saw it. Local police, political officials, and veterans were some of the people in the parade. Instead of marching, we were surprised to see Caleb arrive in a yellow convertible. Nate and Josh were more than happy to go after the candy the scouts tossed to the crowd.
