Album Track: Who's Who in My Life
Instructor: Sarah Milne
Class Length: 8.00 Hours
Sponsored by Scenic Route Paper Co.
Class Description:
On this journey we call life, through all the up, down and arounds the relationships that we have guide us through each day. Some people remain in our lives for better or worse, some not long enough and others play a small roll but leave a huge impact. Who would you like to see again? Who made a lasting impression? Who taught you a valuable lesson that has stuck with you through the years? In this class we'll reminisce about the good, the bad and the unforgettable relationships that have made us who we are today.
Before class, use a special and exclusive notebook to write a list of people that have made an impact on you through the years. Brainstorm and jot names till you can't think of anyone else. Go back through your childhood, do you remember a friend, teacher or neighbor whose influence has stuck with you? As a teenager was there an adult other than your parents that you looked to for guidance? Are there casual acquaintances that said or did something you'll never forget? Are there famous celebrities that you've never met but you've learned something from? Maybe even a character from a book or movie?
Once you've created a list, narrow it down to 20 people that bring back a strong memory, allow yourself free write about those memories, life lessons and experiences. This will take time... and maybe a box of tissues. Collect any photos or memorabilia that you may have that illustrate these relationships and bring them with you along with the notebook you've written your thoughts in. We'll include even the stories that don't have photos to go with them, but do your best to collect as many as you can. Even if you don't have a picture of the person, a picture of you from that time period, your school, church or other places and events can help illustrate your story.
