What: How will you remember your CKU experience? That’s easy—you’ll create an incredible scrapbook, right? Stop by the CKU Bookstore to pick up your CKU memorabilia for your albums including scrapbook supplies, products and page kits from your favorite instructors, designers and manufacturers. Plus, take home a piece of your CKU experience with event shirts, bags, mugs and pins. They’re all perfect additions to your alumni collections!

EARLY REGISTRATION

When: Wednesday afternoon

What: Can’t wait another day to register? No need, stop by Early Registration on your way to the Sneak Peek and Mingle . You can pick up your event materials, including name badge, class tickets and more. You’ll also receive your official CKU tote bag and School Box loaded with all the necessary scrapbook staples you’ll need to complete your class projects.

SNEAK PEEK AND MINGLE

When: Wednesday evening

What: Start off your CKU experience at the Sneak Peek and Mingle. Not only will you mingle with instructors and celebrity experts, sponsors, CKU staff and fellow students, this is your chance to check out their newest, most exciting products! Find it hard to meet with instructors and get photos and autographs during the busy school day? Bring your camera and autograph book because this fun meet and greet will provide you with the desired face time with each of our celebrity teachers .

REGISTRATION

When: Thursday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

What: If you missed the festivities on Wednesday, you can pick up your event materials, including name badge, class tickets and more on Thursday morning. During registration you’ll also receive your official CKU tote bag and School Box loaded with all the necessary scrapbook staples you’ll need to complete your class projects. (Students arriving later can pick up their registration materials at the Information Desk.)

Where: Hotel common area

Lunch Break (boxed lunch provided)

When:
• Thursday, 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

• Friday, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m

• Saturday, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

What: Lunch is on us! You’ll receive a boxed lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, our treat and delivered to your classroom! Coordinating your lunch plans is something you won’t need to worry about during your time at CKU.

Kick Off Bash

When: Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

What: It's like freshman orientation and a pep rally combined! Don't miss the program that gets it all started. We'll introduce you to your CKU sponsors, teachers and staff and let you know what to expect over the next three days.
Where: The Grand Ballroom

Two classes or album workshop

When:
• Friday, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• Saturday, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

What: Attend four classes or one album track depending on the schedule you chose during online registration.

One of your days at CKU will be filled with four 90-minute workshops focusing on new techniques and products. Rather than having to fight for a spot in your favorite class, every student will receive the same four incredible classes from industry experts including Tim Holtz, Teresa Collins, Creating Keepsakes, and Imaginisce.

Then, on the other day YOU will get to choose one amazing album track of your choice. You’ll receive all the materials, supplies and instruction to complete your designer album in one day! Choose from album tracks hosted by experts such as Elizabeth Kartchner, Debby Schuh, Margie Romney-Aslett, and more.
Where: Classrooms will vary. Check your CKU class ticket for specific room assignment.

Commencement

When: Saturday, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

What: It's time to celebrate the accomplishments of our CKU graduates. Commencement is a fun and heartwarming way to reflect on the excitement and emotions from the event. We'll announce contest winners, award prizes and distribute diplomas. Plus reflect on the memories of the past few days during the favorite CKU slideshow.

Where: Hotel ballroom

SHOPPING

When: Shop at your leisure throughout the event, such as before the event officially begins on Wednesday or after classes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hours and participation vary by store.

What: Participating local scrapbook stores offer special shopping opportunities and activities just for CKU students. Take advantage of the special treatment!

Where: Stores local to CKU. We'll post store information online prior toCKU. At the event, look for displays near the Information Desk for directions and more information.

INSPIRATION STATIONS

When: Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

What: Don't miss the Inspiration Stations on Thursday, park yourself into your homeroom and get ready for a crash course in fun. Sit back and relax while the 8 instructors rotate through your room to help you to inspire, enrich and create an amazing 6x6 album.

Student Supplies: 12x12 paper trimmer, corner rounder, black journaling pen, paper piercer and mat, fine-tip scissors, 2" circle punch, regular hole punch, black and brown distress ink, stapler, mini glue dots and adhesive (both dry and liquid).
